Baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation. It’s a public declaration that you have chosen to follow Jesus and that your life now belongs to Him. Jesus Himself was baptized, and He commands His followers to do the same (Matthew 28:19). In baptism, we identify with Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection—symbolizing the washing away of our old life and the beginning of a new life in Christ (Romans 6:4).
It’s not about being perfect, but about obedience. Baptism doesn’t save you—faith in Jesus does—but it is a powerful step of faith that shows your commitment to walk with Him and live for His purposes.
